How do I make an appointment?

First we need a referral from your vet - click here, then we can book you an appointment over the phone or by email / whats app. When we are in clinic or in the treadmill it can be difficult for us to answer the phone, so please do whatsapp/text or leave a voicemail and we wil get back to you as soon as we are able.

If you want to discuss maintenance treatment for your healthy dog please contact us to discuss whether we require prior veterinary referral.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require a full 24 hours notice, anything less incurs a full charge. Please give as much notice as possible, we have many animals waiting for appointments and have to cover the costs of our staff and facilities during empty slots.

Do you offer fun and fitness swims, or puppy swimming lessons?

Although we do prioritise dogs with injuries, illness or medical conditions at present. We do offer maintenance physio and hydrotherapy for healthy, sporting dogs or to acclimatise puppies to hydrotherapy at a young age. Please contact us directly to discuss your needs

We do not currently have a pool on site - all of our hydrotherapy services are completed the Underwater Treadmill.

Do I need to stay with my dog during the session?

We require all owners to stay with their animal during the whole duration of every appointment. This is for safety, for keeping your animal at ease and for giving you physiotherapy advice and exercise programmes to take home.

Can I get in the water with my pet?

No, It is essential that a qualified physiotherapist or hydrotherapist is in the water with your animal for safe and therapeutic handling.

Do you have any breed restrictions?

We see all breeds of dog. This includes XL Bullies - you must have a certificate of exemption and be muzzled on our premises at all times. If you are worried about your dog’s behaviour or they have needed muzzling at the vets, please bring a muzzle to your appointment and let us know any specific concerns prior to your appointment, so we can help to put your pet at ease and keep everybody safe.

My pet is scared of water or never been in water, how do you approach this?

We can slowly and gently introduce your pet to water; the underwater treadmill is great for this as we control the water level and your pets paws always remain in contact with the floor which often makes them feel more confident. We use a ‘fear free’ approach and positive reinforcement for all our treatments. If we feel an animal is too frightened or stressed, we will stop and change our approach. Often dogs get used to the water with gradual exposure and sometimes even learn to enjoy the sessions. We can also use land-based physio only, without the need for any water (hydrotherapy), with great benefit too, so there is always a way we can support your animal.

Do you accept pet insurance claims?

We are covered by most pet insurance providers - please check if your policy covers Physiotherapy or Hydrotherapy, or ‘complementary therapy’. Our physio is an ACPAT Chartered Physiotherapist (Category A). We do not accept direct claims/payment from insurance companies - you will be required to pay for your appointment and claim back. We are happy to fill out claim forms and provide invoices/receipts free of charge, so that owners can claim back the costs of their pet’s treatment after a course or block of sessions. If the insurer requires a physio report or release of full clinical notes, then an administration charge of £15 is payable first.

How do I contact you?

The best way to get in touch is by email or WhatsApp. We are often unable to answer the phone due to how busy the clinic is and we do not have a reception team. If you leave a message, we aim to get back to you within 48 hours (working days). Click here for our contact info.
